How do I update my Android.

Build Number: jbla_2206_f (Samsung GT-l9500 clone)
Android Version: 4.2.2
Baseband Version: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V11.P2,2013/10/24 14:39
Kernal Version: 3.4.5 (Fri Nov 22 12:08:53 CST 2013)

Details:
I was recently given an Android Phone, However I was disappointed to find that it was running Android 4.2.2. So I had a look around in Settings and couldn't find the Software Update option either.
I have tried *#*#CHECKIN#*#* (which didn't work) and Samsung Kies which wouldn't connect to my phone!

What can I try?

Welcome to Android Central! You don't have a Settings>About Phone>System Updates menu? If not, then you can't update through the normal methods because you have a clone, not a genuine Samsung product. You'd have to search the web to see if anyone has been able to root your specific clone phone, and if there are any custom ROMs designed for that phone.

Re: How do I update my Android.

Are you sure it's a clone of the S4, or is it a Chinese phone with the Samsung name on it (which, BTW, is a copyright violation committed by a lot of Chinese clone builders), the S4 model number on it but th phone itself isn't actually even similar to an S4 software- or hardware-wise? If that's the case, the only update you'll ever get is from the manufacturer, and they're not known for staying in business any longer than it takes to produce a load of clones, ship them out and get paid. You save a lot of money buying a Chinese clone, but, like oats that have been through the horse, you're not getting real oats.
