Google Play Store Issue

Once tapped on the Google Play Store, it closes only after a few seconds.
"Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped."
I've tried the Clear Cache and Clear Data method, turned it off and back on, didn't worked.
But if I Clear Cache, Clear Data, and Force close it, I can see apps featured on the home, but it still closes seconds later.
Anything that can help?

Re: Google Play Store Issue

Welcome to the forums. You can try going to Settings>storage>click cache partition. It will confirm if that is what you want to do. Click ok/yes. See if that helps.

Another thing to try is resetting app preferences. Settings>Apps>menu>reset app preferences. This sometimes helps with Play issues.

Re: Google Play Store Issue

Tried first method, Security Policy blocked me, tried second method and didn't work.

Connect to the play store with a web browser - Google Play. Anything you install from there will install to your phone. (Even a browser on another computer will work.)

Re: Google Play Store Issue

Have you recently changed device. When you clear cache in Storage, on my Samsungs anyway, It used to say not permitted by security or some such, but it will clear after a short while anyway. It doesn't say that anymore.
"Usually Unfortunately Google ---- has stopped" tends to clear for me after a few days. I have been getting this with Google Search a lot lately, though I may have cured it with disabling the Search bar version. There has been a thread on AAQ here that Play Store has been giving an error code on Samsung S3's mostly.
I would give it a few days, and are you sure you also tried to download via a pc web browser with your account.
The current version is 5.0.38. I think people had success in the past by uninstalling updates, maybe rebooting, and installing the latest Play Store again.

Re: Google Play Store Issue

I rebooted it after mistakenly uninstalling the Play Store last week.. and I do have two phones, and a tablet also. I didn't use a PC Web Browser, I will go try now.
Edit: Scratch that, I'll have to try at school cause I don't got time right now..
but Thanks to all the helped in advanced.

I also suggest to go into Settings, Application Manager, slide over to All. Scroll to Playstore, and select clear cache and data, then direct uninstall. Go back to your apps, run Playstore which should update again to the current version. If this does not work, then backup your stuff, and Factory Reset.

So what do I do? D:
No it won't uninstall. But you can uninstall all the updates in the Applications Manager, maybe reboot, and let Play Store advise you of updates then download them again. I think that's what the poster neant.

That's the thing, mine does not have "Uninstall Updates", just Force Stop and Turn Off.
Edit: If I factory reset, I can open the Play Store and stay in the store forever or whatever, but once I exit I can't go back in.

OK - This is for better minds than mine.
(some carriers settings say "Turn Off" instead of "Disabled")

Meanwhile:
1. what device is it,
2. was it bought in the Far East,
3. did it work OK before,
4. was there a recent update,
5. did you root it,
6. can you browse My Apps on your Google account with a pc web browser?

Hang about for more help.

Scratch some of those questions. What do you think happened when you thought you uninstalled it?

Samsung Galaxy S3/SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
Nope.
Yep, used to be my primary phone till I got the S4.
Nope.
I did before, when it became my backup phone.
Yep.

Re: Google Play Store Issue

I was mistakenly trying to install a Cracked Version of Google Play Store, it will never happen again.
the reason for me doing that cause I wanted some paid apps, for free of course.
But I'll live without them.

Re: Google Play Store Issue

You can crack a paid app, but you can't "crack" Play Store to install paid apps without paying for them, you have to "crack" Google's database to do that. Install some good antivirus and antimalware - that cracked app may be a virus or Trojan.

Re: Google Play Store Issue

Oh I've learned my lesson, plus I had to factory reset my phone because the store wouldn't work.
I already know how to get cracked apps, or mod/hack them, depending on the app.
