Why does my keyboard always load so slow whenever it tries to open?

My S2 is running the swype keyboard and whenever I open an app, it takes a good 45 seconds for it to pop up and be ready for typing. I switched to the swype because the stock keyboard took even longer. This happens no matter how many or how few apps are running. Suggestions?

Try Settings, Apps, All, scroll to the Swype app, and select Clear Cache.
