I have a strange request. I want to lower the resolution of my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 camera. We have a custom application that uses the default camera settings to take pictures within the app. The 3MP pictures are too large and larger than we need. I want to change the resolution of the camera to 2MP. Even when lowering the default resolution of the camera, the application still captures the picture in full 3MP resolution.

Have you tried using a different camera app? The Google camera app also allows you to lower the resolution to a few presets that your device has.
Just curious...why does it need to be so small?
