If the screen cracked as the result of a drop, replacing the screen - even though that is the part that is obviously damaged - is something of a gamble, because there may be damage to parts other than the screen.

Get a repair estimate - whether it pays to repair the phone is iffy. If it's just the screen it may pay. Otherwise it may be a better idea to get a new phone (and a slip-proof case for a few bucks).
