merging android and OS X contacts on my mac

I want to get all my contacts onto my Mac

Re: merging android and OS X contacts on my mac

Export the Google contacts as a .vcf file and import that on the Mac.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

If your contacts are sync'd with Google (if they are not sync now) you can easily import to your Mac. To sync your contacts, go into system settings > accounts > Google > contacts (sync).

Now open the contacts or address book application on your Mac and go into the preferences option. There will be options to sync with instructions to sign into your Google account. Once that is setup you will have your contacts sync'd.

Alternatively, if you are not connected to the web with your Mac you'll need to export the contacts from your Google account and place the file on your computer. Open contacts or address book from your Mac and select import. You need to select the file you want to import and follow the prompts.
