How do I logout of Yahoo email on Android tablet?

How do I logout of yahoo email on Android tablet

I had to change my password to my yahoo email on my Mac desktop. Since then (Mar 8th), I can't receive or send any emails with the email app. I can go into google and get into the acct (which I've done 5 times!) but logging out of then back into my yahoo email from that platform does nothing to free up my email app.

I've also tried to delete the email app thro acct's & sync. It shows there that the app is gone, but it isn't! It won't get off my tablet. I figure if I can delete the app, I can just download it again. But it won't go (kinda like a guest who stays too long haha).

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

Are you talking about the Yahoo Mail app, or accessing the mail through the device email app, or the Gmail app.
You don't say which device..

I use Yahoo a lot on a Samsung, both the Yahoo app, and the Samsung Email app.

There have been problems with Yahoo, but this shouldn't be the cause.

In the Yahoo app, touch the account name on the side bar to Manage the account. I would delete it and reload it with the new password. No log out on the app, just asks you to sign in occasionally.
