My cell phone was stolen, I have the imei and I want to blacklist it or block it?

I want to block my Samsung S4 with the IMEI which is in the box that came with it, how can I do it?

Best thing to do is call your carrier. Tell them your account and such and roughly what time the device was stolen. This way you don't get charged with anything they do, like calling outside the country.

Also file a police report. It won't get your phone back, but if someone is arrested with your phone, they'll add a larceny (or even robbery if it was taken from your person or when you were present) charge (and then you'll get the phone back, and you can get it un-black-listed). And you can claim it as a casualty loss.

Far as I know the carrier does this when you report it stolen. I don't think you can do this on your own.
