Phone is not charging

I have a Galaxy Ace 3, and while testing to see which of my chargers work, I turned the screen on and off several times. I worked then, but when I tried to turn it on several minutes later, nothing happened at all.

What do you suggest? Is there any way for me to 'revive' it on my own or do I need to take it to a professional?

Thank you in advance

Try the following, in order, and let us know what happens:

1. Try another power source. For example, if you are using a certain wall charger in the living room try moving the device and charger to an outlet in the dining room or bedroom. Make sure to use an outlet that is not connected to the same circuit.

2. Try another phone charger and/or try charging from a computer view USB.

3. Replace the battery.

Try a charger that gives you an indication that the phone is charging, then leave it alone for 24 hours. See if that brings it back to 100%. (A phone I recently worked on - I'm sort of out of retirement now and then - came to me with a battery more dead than a lot I've thrown out. I let it charge for 24 hours. It now holds a charge for about 3 days if the phone just sits on the desk, so evidently the battery wasn't damaged too badly. But before the charge, it would turn on just about long enough to turn off - about 1/10th of a second. Flick and it was off.)
