How do I view my full picture, as it shows in thumbnail view?

In multiple gallery viewing apps, Aviary, Photo Grid, Photos, etc. I can see more of the pictures when they are thumbnails then when I select one or share one; the very edges become cropped... how do I view the entire picture as I can see it in the thumbnail?

Welcome to Android Central! When you select an image and it becomes full screen, are you able to pinch to zoom out?
