I hit sync on my Galaxy s2 calender and erased all entries - any way back?

I have a gmail account but do not use the associated diary function. Sync symbol indicates a two way process. Any way I can restore Galaxy s2 to an earlier date?

Welcome to Android Central! Were the events that were on the phone's calendar associated with your Google account, or the Phone/Samsung account? Events associated with Google should sync to your Google Calendar on the web. Phone/Samsung account events might sync with your Samsung account on the web, or it might require using the Kies sync program.
