Galaxy S5 Photo Gallery Problem

[AC Question]

This may have been answered many times but I cant find the answer to my problem.
Every time I plug my phone into my computer to download new pictures I have taken I also get 1000s of cartoon type images which don't exist visibly on my phone.
If these are what are classed as picasa I have gone into my settings and into google and sync settings but as on many youtube videos they say un tick the sync picasa box but my S5 doesn't have this option.
Please help I am sick of spending hours deleting 1000s of unwanted cartoon images.

Welcome to Android Central! Don't use the Windows Import Photos and Videos function--it doesn't discriminate between your actual photos and other thumbnails and cached images used by apps and the browser. It's much better just to manually select the photos using Windows Explorer and drag and drop them.
