samsung galaxy s5 wake up problem

I have had my Samsung galaxy s5 since June last year. It started having problems a month ago, while waking device up, screen remains black and doesn't turn on but the recent app and back keys will be on. Device will only wake up after several successive efforts. I thought it could have been a virus so I flushed my phone but this problem still occurs. What could be the problem and how can I solve it?
