Hi m using moto g 2 and my phone's charging pin area is damaged

Hi my phone is not charging at all as the charging pin of the phone is damaged and service center people told me to pay 8000 as this charging part is connected to motherboard so the whole thing will ne changed... But i dnt want to pay that much so what are the other alternatives
Also i want to know whether i can charge my phone from the area where i connect my earphones ?
