Why out of nowhere does My Galaxy Note4 not charge?

Out of nowhere tonight my Galaxy Note 4 purchased in March 2015 doesn't charge.. I have tried all my different approved cables and chargers and no luck.. I have checked online for answers but no luck.. When I plug it in it vibrates every 2 secs and shows the grey charging for a bit but no % is listed or charging happens.. I have cleaned the micro usb port.. Please help.. I thought finally after switching to Samsung from Motorola(had 1st edition of Android yrs ago and continued with Android all the way through 3/15). Please help.. My son had power button issue with Galaxy S4.. All the companies blame each other.. Verizon blames Samsung & Samsung blames Verizon etc. Not cool.. Thank you..

Welcome to AC.

Perhaps the battery has failed, or there is damage to the USB port connector, among other possibilities. Contact the manufacturer for advice about what to do. The warranty ought to come to the rescue.
