I have the Galaxy s6 . I am able to extend the screen time for the display but am unable to find how to extend the screen time during a phone call. When I place or receive a call the screen times out in a couple of seconds. I would like to set it so it does not time out until I end the call, as I lose access to the keypad.

This is my first Android so it is a learning process.

When you pull the phone down from your ear during a call, the screen should come back on automatically to give you access to the keypad.

If your proximity sensor is turned on, you should be able to wave your hand over the screen and it will come back on so you can access the keypad (though if not in use it will timeout again after the same amount of time).

Someone else in another forum with the same problem suggested an app called Screen On Call (https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...d=com.vorlan.screenoncall.free&token=PTwZ8wDm) that fixes the issue, but I've never used it so I can't vouch for it.

Also any automation app like Automate should be able to be set up so that if the phone is the foreground app, the screen timeout is 30 minutes (IOW, as close to Never as you can get).

I use Tasker for automation, so I use an exit task (IOW, when the app I'm writing the task for isn't the foreground task) that returns my timeout to my normal 30 second one.
