Why won't Wi-Fi calling/texting work at work?

AC Question

I have Wi-Fi calling through T-Mobile and love it. It works wonderfully everywhere but at my job. I can log on to the Wi-Fi at work and use every other app, stream music, check email, and jump on the internet but I can't make calls or text. All of the settings are the same in my phone as they were 15 minutes before I got to work when I was at home and calls and texts work just fine over the Wi-Fi. I also don't have to adjust any settings at Starbucks or any other hot spot. Does anyone have any suggestions on why it won't work at work? I have an internal office with floors above me so regular reception is non-existent. I miss not being able to answer or ask a quick question with a text message when needed. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Android Central! Your office wi-fi might have a firewall that prevents that kind of traffic. Can you contact your work IT department and ask them?
