I have a galaxy s3. will I get my calls and messages after I turn block mode off?

I recently down graded to an s3 from my s5 hopefully for a short while only but want to utilize this feature for meetings and at night. I want to be sure I can still get the calls and messages later if choose. Is this how block mode works? Will I get my missed calls and messages once I turn block mode off?
