Need to access my internet

I just got this samsung sgh 1847 for at&t and im trying to get my internet to work... but i just cant figure it out

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about mobile data or wi-fi? Are you having difficulty trying to turn on mobile data, or is it on but just not connecting to 3G? Do you have a SIM inserted, and do you have a data plan with AT&T?
