I'm trying to watch live programing with the NBC app, it ask me for my providers credinetals which I enter then it looks like it will load... but then I get an error, saying "Live playback needs Google Play services. Please launch the live stream again once they've been installed"

I checked my applications and Google Play service is enabled... so I am at a lost, any suggestions would be appreciated..

I have exactly the same issue. Have tried reinstalling both apps - the only thing I can really see is that the NBC app doesn't show up in my google connected apps screen either. Help.

Did anyone fix this issue? This is happening with my sprint note 4 on lollipop version as well. Just the NBC app is affected at this time.

    I don't have a solution, but...

It looks like Google Play itself has been updated or overhauled in the last few days.

I'm having the exact same problem (NBC app live stream producing the same error msg.) on a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Lollipop.

However, it works on a Nexus 7 (2nd Gen) with Marshmallow. Too bad for me this tablet only has Wi-Fi
