my galaxy s 5 isnt syncing to google account or playstore.

I removed my email from my phone. Created a new email. Now my phone wont sync to playstore app. When i go to my account and backup settings it says not currently backed up with an account. So i added my old email back to my phone, still its not working. Playstore will not open and sync settings display an error with my google account. What can i do to get my playstore working again
