Does installing 2 sim cards in zenfone2 use extra battery

Seems since I added the second sim card my battery is discharging faster Is this true or coincidence

Welcome to Android Central! That's an interesting question. I might cause a little more battery use, since I would presume those are two separate cell radios that are turned on. How is the signal for both of them?

You could do an experiment and disable one of the SIMs from within the Dual SIM Settings in the System Settings. Compare that battery life with when you have both SIMs active.
