Why is downloading stalled with an unauthorized network message when wifi is on and working?

I have my phone connected to my home wifi (entered in key). The internet works fine but when I try to download a podcast from podcast addict, it is stalling and giving a message saying "unauthorized network"?

I'm going to bump this because I just had exactly this happen. I'm using Podcast Addict, and I had it limited to WiFi only. Solution is in settings, not only does it allow limiting to WiFi only, but you have to go into Settings and manually allow the particular WiFi networks.

I just unchecked the WiFi filter at the bottom of the Network menu under App Settings as accessed from the three button icon in the upper right.

Are there any particular reasons to want to limit downloading to only certain networks, anyway?
