AC Question

As i said, i have a samsung s4, and as i was walking to school this morning, it got a bit wet in my bag. it wasn't soaking, but still a bit wet. just before entering the school, i got my phone out just to check to make sure it was on silent (not allowed phones in school). As i was on my phone, i the screen wasn't very responsive, and i had to press an area a couple of times before it would work. i didn't think anything of it at the time, but looking back i should have. it wasn't until 4th lesson, around 12:30, that i got my phone out. i unlocked it, as you do, then all of a sudden it turned off.i tried turning it on again, as i had no idea why it had turned off, but all i got was some green lines. the longer i left it on, the more green lines appeared. i realised then that i should probably turn it off. luckily for me, one of my friends is a brainiac with these things and told me to turn it off straight away else ill fry it. may i just point out it was only drizzly rain in the morning, now where near as heavy as it usually gets here. my phone has got a bit wet other times before, but again only a little bit damp. I've noticed the screen on my phone flicker a couple of times before, but i didn't think much about it. i have now put it in rice as everybody said, but i was just wondering if any body knows if there is any hope in my phone working again. its not looking good, but one can hope. Thanks
