Remove security code on my Galaxy S3

A

AC Question

I know my code. It is just more of an inconvenience than I want to bother with. I tried going to security then encrypt device. Then the enable security code at the bottom of that screen. When it gets to the point of choosing no code (I don't remember exactly what it is ) it will not let me choose that option. So very frustrating! Please help me

Welcome to Android Central! Is the device encrypted to begin with? If so, you have to use a PIN or password. The only way to get rid of that is to do a full factory reset.

If the device isn't encrypted, go to Settings>Security>Screen Lock, and choose None or Swipe Only. If it doesn't let you, then go to Settings>Security>Clear Credentials.
