When data is available my Note 2 restarts every 30 seconds

[AC Question]

This just started happening on the drive home. The device just restarts every 30 seconds or so. I finally figured out how to stop it by putting it (quickly) in airplane mode, then trying each connection type 1 at a time. It doesn't matter if it is cellular or wifi data. I'm on the verge of just doing a factory reset but I'm wondering if there is something that I can look at to see what is causing it to crash. Any thoughts?

My Moto X (2013) just started doing the exact same thing...

It happens on different wifi networks or if I turn on mobile data. Just started this evening...

Cleared cache, removed recently installed apps. Know if a particular Google app may have been updated with a bad patch today?
