I can connect my Note5 to my car's bluetooth system and it will do the Phone Audio stuff all fine, make phonecalls etc... but the Media Audio checkbox won't check, it just checks and then immediately unchecks itself when you press on it.
The phone won't play Media through the BT to the car, it just comes out of the speakers on the phone.
Car will accept BT audio as it has from iPhone over BT and has a BT input option under the media settings. It's a Volkswagen with an RCD510 head unit with the standard VW BT.
