AC Question

Hello,

Mac OS X 10.10.5,

I installed Samsung's Smart Switch software on my Mac. It gave a warning that Android File Transfer would not work.

I uninstalled Smart Switch. I believe it DID NOT uninstall cleanly. Samsung tech support said "just drag the app folder to the Trash."

Now Android File Transfer will not recognize my Samsung Galaxy S6. I consistently get a dialog saying "Could not connect to device."

What do I need to do to:

A. Uninstall Smart Switch (manually I suppose).
B. Install Android File Transfer so it runs.

Thanks in advance...

i had the same problem. Just open the dmg file again from where you installed smart switch and there is an uninstall app. Run that app and AFT will start to work again. good luck!

Tried this, also tried uninstalling the older Samsung Kies app, only thing I have installed is AFT. Tried multiple cables, multiple USB ports with multiple restarts. None of this works. MacOS Sierra with Galaxy S8.
