HTC ONE M8 Charges slow/quick charge2.0 not working

My phone used to take around 2 hours to charge 0-100 with the OEM Charger, recently the HTC Cable became unreliable and had to be kept at certain angle to charge and took a lot longer to charge. So I bought the Aukey turbo charger in an attempt to decrease charging time. I tried testing the charger today with the Aukey supplied cable, it took around an hour to charge from 5-60% double the time I was expecting.

My question is does anyone know my phone takes so long to charge and why the quick charge 2.0 charger didn't work? Any solutions are greatly appreciated.
