Nexus 5 proximity sensor after update

After the marshmallow update, my screen stays off after I end the call. I must wait about 10 second before the screen becomes active. This is very annoying. Has anyone else experienced this? It's so frustrating, I'm thinking of going back to lollipop of there's no fix for it.

I've noticed this as well on occasion. Usually, pressing Power a couple of times gets the screen to turn back on. I've tested my proximity sensor with CPU-Z, and it's working fine. Also wiped the cache partition immediately after the Marshmallow update. I haven't tried Safe Mode yet--that might be something to try, in case some 3rd party app isn't playing nice with Marshmallow.
