How to root my android one device running android 6.0

I am using Micromax Canvas A1 AndroidOne and it is running on Android 6.0. I want to root my phone... how to do that safely..?

I have found 2 ways... 1. By downloading kernel file and twrp recovery and fast booting and 2. simple way by using root apps... which is better and safer way to root my device.. also I read somewhere that since android 6.0 is newly launched root files will not be more accurate.. What to do.. give me detailed description on rooting my device pls
