Hi there. I am totally new and unfamiliar to Android. is there an Android equivelant to the Backgrounder/Background Manager app that exists in Cydia (Jailbroken Iphone app). Or some method to achieve the same effect?

Further detail: i understand that Android is capable of running apps in the background, but from what i read this is only equivelant to the "Background Refresh" feature in iOS. Where it will put the app into a sort of "sleep" mode and not actually keep it running, which is why apps like Youtube would pause its content before switching to another app. But what these Background apps from Cydia allows is it tricks the phone into thinking your desired apps are always running in the foreground as if it were still on the main screen. This is the kind of feature i am looking for. I assume with Androids many customizable aspects this would not be so difficult. But I am not so sure so thats why i am asking
