Galaxy S5 Battery Meter Problems

S

Steevo1289

Working on a Galaxy S5, around 1.5 years old. Battery started to drain super fast around two weeks ago, figured it was just old battery, so bought a new one through Verizon. Even with the new one, battery was still dying quickly, so I went through a factory reset to clean it all up.

Result: battery meter still reading as if battery can't charge above 66%. I'm figuring it's something with the software, but have no idea what else to clean up :/

Can you post a screenshot of the battery usage on settings from full to around 20-30 percent left.

Have you recently moved to a new area? You might have poor signals which cause battery drains. Does your phone heats up often? Or maybe you got a bad new battery.

Your battery meter can't go above 66 percent? Try to factory reset it again. Or re-flash your phone via odin. Guide on how to re-flash is available on the internet and it's easy to do.
