I'm not able to install the Blinkist app on my Nexus 6P. See the attachment.

Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager. Now try again.

If that doesn't work, try going to Settings>Accounts-Google, select your Google account, and remove it completely from the phone. Then add it back again, and see if that helps.

Is that the only app that can't be installed?

Try going to that app's Play Store page on your computer browser, and click the Install button there. Wait a few minutes and see if the app gets installed successfully on the phone.

From an XDA thread:

Code 505 is a permissions code. This typically means that the APK file already exists in your /data/app folder. You'll need to locate the APK files in question in the /data/app folder and remove them. You will need root to perform this action.

You might try wiping the cache partition, since my understanding is that downloaded apk files are cached there. No personal data will be erased.

1. From a powered off state, press and hold Power and Vol Down together until you see the Fastboot menu.
2. Use the Volume buttons to select Recovery Mode, then Power to enter it.
3. When you see the Android with its chest open, press and hold Power, then tap Vol Up, then release both buttons at the same time.
4. Use the Volume buttons to highlight Wipe Cache Partition, then Power to execute.
5. When complete, select Reboot System Now.
