AC Question

I just returned from a vacation to Mexico and only used the free wifi our hotel provided and when I returned I plugged in my phone to my computer to download my photos and in my gallery I noticed 20 ad pictures for casinos, games, a sprite ad, etc. all in different formats - jpg, gif, png and x.mp4 - none of which were there before I left on my trip. I did not download anything while I was there.

The strange thing is these ad pictures do not show up on my phone at all, only on my computer when I try to download the photos from my phone. I did not try to download them for fear they would infect my computer for I do not know where they came from or how they got there. Actually, all of them were put on my phone last night and this morning after I had returned from my trip.

I cannot figure out a way to delete these since I can't see them on my phone and when I attach my phone to my computer, I'm using Adobe Photoshop Bridge to download photos and it's only a downloader and doesn't allow me to delete photos. Can someone please help me? Please tell me I don't have some type of infection!

Re: Ads appearing in gallery but not seen on the phone, how to delete?

You can use Windows Explorer to try to delete them

How do I go about doing that with my phone? I need an explanation please.
On your computer, press the start button and type "windows Explorer". It should open up, then browse to where the files are. If you have an older version of Windows then you may need to do start - run

I do this while I have my phone plugged in? I can only see the photos when it's plugged in and I'm trying to download photos. I have not downloaded these ads for fear they will corrupt my computer.
