Forward text message containing phone numbers

I have a Moto G 4G on Android 5.1.

I'd like to forward a text message or copy the text into a new message and send to someone else. However the text contains a few phone numbers and reference numbers, and whenever I long hold, I only get options to 'Choose action', to call one of the phone numbers or the reference number.

It doesn't matter if I tap and hold a 'plain text' area or anywhere in the message, the same thing happens.

This is similar to a previous thread, which was not resolved, although I can't post the link.

Hope someone can help?

Welcome to the forums! That's strange. I have two different Moto devices and the long press to copy/forward works fine, even with phone numbers, Web addresses or any other reference included.

You could try clearing cache for the Messaging app in settings - apps and then restart. If nothing works maybe you should use a third party app to manage your SMS and see if it works. Hangouts or Textra are good options.
