Hi and welcome to Android Central forums!

If you are referring to the recent marshmallow update, you're joining a lot of people with issues like you just described.

You can try going into recovery, and wiping the system cache partition. This will not delete any data.

You can go to YouTube and search for, enter recovery on Galaxy S6, and you will find some pretty informative videos on how to do that.

There are some that will argue with my next statement, but I do a full factory reset after every major update. There are many who don't have issues, but here lately it seems like a lot of folks are having issues after these major update.

Let us know if the cache partition wipe doesn't work, and we'll go on to the next step. Hope this works!

Please do not do a full factory reset, without first properly backing up your phone's pictures contact data and so on. If you choose to do that route we can provide you with some informational videos on how to back up all of your phones important data and photos.
