how do I create an icon for my file manager to access it on my LG L34C?

When I received the LG L34C from tracfone, there was no icon for file manager among the apps. I downloaded several apps from google play but they can't move files to, or create directories on, the SD card. I found the file manager in Settings>apps>all so now I just need to create the icon to access the factory app. Help, I bought the SD card to save my pictures and it is sitting empty and I have to delete some to update my apps.

Go to the applications (the rightmost button on the bottom of the screen). Find the one you want the icon for. Long-press it and you'll be able to drag it to the homepage.
