AC Question

Yesterday i charged my new Samsung j1 til 100% then I switched off the phone and removed the battery after 12 hours i inserted it back turned on my j1 and it drained by 5%, is it because I removed the battery from the phone? Why would a battery drains when it's removed by 5%? Or should I get it back

HI

That is normal dissipation. Nothing to worry about. Lots of thing can contribute to the percentage loss being more or less....including the temperature of the environment its being stored in.

1. Removing it right after it says 100% means that the battery is charged to about 98%. (It's how lithium batteries work.)

2. 3% loss in 12 hours is too much. Unfortunately, the battery itself isn't under warranty. Either live with it or replace it. (Self-discharge is normal, at abour 5% in the first 24 hours. The lower the charge, the slower the self-discharge.)
