Cannot connect to wi fi networks

[AC Question]

Hi, I just bought a Nexus 5 off somebody. They didn't know how to fix the problem so its up to me now. When I go to connect to an internet connection, there are no networks that i am able to connect to, the list is blank. The guy had told me that he dropped it and when he opened the case there was something on the back of the case that was labelled wi fi, and something happened to it. Everything else works fine, I popped my sim card into it and everything is working, Just the internet problem is still not working. any feed back is highly appreciated, thanks.

Either the wifi chip broke or the wifi antenna became disconnected. It has to go to the shop.
