    The 3.5mm Headphone Jack doesn't supply much power so whatever you are plugging in should have its own power source.

    I like rechargeable mini speakers like this: Amazon.com: Axess SPLW11-9 Boombug Wired Mini Portable Speaker with Rechargeable Battery (Orange): Electronics They collapse for easy storage and transport, then expand for use. Mine charges fast, holds battery well and provides a lot of sound with decent quality.

    Use any standard 3.5 mm auxiliary cable to plug into the phone's headphone jack and the speaker's aux input jack. Make sure the phone's media volume is turned all the way up.
