AC Question

Suppose I updated my Samsung S6 to marshmallow and I factory reset it via the android device manager app. Then would it remove the software update and go back to lollipop and also remove the fingerprints registered with the device?

No and yes.

Factory reset is a bit of a misnomer as it does not return the device to the TRUE factory setup as it was when YOU pulled it from the box. What it does is reset the device to factory settings as if someone was pulling the device from a box after all previous OS updates that had been installed were there from the factory.

Yes, it should clear saved fingerprints.

Was this also you? http://forums.androidcentral.com/as...manager-will-also-remove-software-update.html

Yes, it was me, I posted it again because he didn't answer the second part of my question.
I apologise if it was inconvenient.
