samsung s6 got wet and now won't charge says battery too hot or too cold

My phone dropped in the toilet and at first after drying out seemed fine. Now that the battery level is at 0 I can't get it to charge. It either says the battery is too hot or too cold. I did the rice/bag thing for several days but it is still the same.
