Today well using my Galaxy S5 it powered itself off battery was still charged and when I turn the device back on it completely wiped itself. My biggest concern is I had pictures on the device that I thought were loaded on the card but it appears they were not is there a way I can get those pictures back?

Second question why do the device power off and wipe itself without me performing a command?

    Hi

Not sure how it would have done that by-itself, unless there were some serious software related issues going on; or that someone used the wipe feature, remotely. The only way you can recover your personal items, would be if you had backed up your device using the google account backup...to which when doing the initial setup, it will ask you if you want to restore from backup.

If you didn't have that setup, then I'm afraid there is no recovering them.

    Hope this helps!
