Unable to send email from Lenovo A6000 running 5.0.2 security patch 2016-01-01

Confirmed incoming and outgoing server settings with service provider. The settings are validated and accepted. Can receive emails but cannot send emails. Only message is "Email wasn't sent." When I go back to check the settings I see that the incoming settings are saved but the outgoing smtp server setting is not saved. Should be SMTP SERVER : mail.cmobile.co.za; PORT : 25; SECURITY TYPE : None and does not require signin. I can send and receive emails using the settings from my Windows (PC)
