Hi, I really need some help. I have a Blu G91S Android phone that is suddenly refusing to autofill my password - and passkey that I set up - for only one app, my mobile banking app. There had been no problem for two years, now suddenly it won't autofill. It is ONLY this one app - every other app gets autofilled, and the ironic thing is my backup phone - a Blu 64 - is autofilling this password and passkey with no problem, so it's not an issue with the bank, and I have talked to their tech dept about it as well. I have tried everything the AI advice gave me - rebooting, updates, uninstall/reinstall, gone through every section of Settings, changed my password on the bank site, re-entered it in password manager - nothing is working. My theory is I have downloaded a few videos from youtube and pinterest - could there be bugs in those files? Should I just give up and do a factory reset? That would be a huge pain in the you-know-whatty. Any advice would be appreciated, as I am not tech-savvy at all. Thank you!

I don't think downloading the files have anything to do with it.

How are you filling in the passwords. Are they being stored in the browser, or a password manager?

The phone has always asked to save passwords and they are in the password manager, i including the bank app. Now the vey strange thing is when I went into the bank mobile app to reset my new password, the passkey flashed on the screen and disappeared before I could even hit my finger on it. So it's somewhere hiding in my phone.

Are you using Google's autofill? Try deleting it in your password manager and adding again.

Yeah, I've tried every solution I can find, nothing works and only with this one app. I may have to just factory reset and save up for a new phone. No good luck with Blu devices, won't buy this brand again.

"....I have talked to their tech dept about it as well. I have tried everything the AI advice gave me...."

Did you actually speak to a human or a robot? I have zero time or trust in AI bots, although it seems you've tried every possible option.

I've never used a phone browser based password manager and have no intention of trying. Before going nuclear why not try a dedicated password manager instead? If you factory reset your phone and the issue still persists then you're back to ground zero so might be worth a try beforehand.
