AC Question

I've noticed that Cell Standby is consuming a big part of my battery (~25%) but this only happens when I'm not connected to a Wifi Network.

If Wifi is turned off or turned on but not connected to a network, Cell Standby consumption will be very high. Only when I'm connected to a network the draineg stops.

Why does this happens and what can I do to stop it?

I have a Galaxy S6, btw.

Thank you for your help.

Hi and welcome to Android Central. Please create an account with us so you can participate in this thread. The reason this is happening is because your phone is looking for a stable connection. Are you in an are where signal strength is poor? what network are you on?

Hello,

Just created the account ;)

In my area, signal strength is good.

I don't understand why cell standby should be influenced by internet. Should it stop consuming battery when I connect to wi-fi? Because that is what's happening...

Thanks
