Why is theCHIVE app crashing upon booting?

Once theCHIVE icon is tapped, the introductory image loads but freezes at that point. The app has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times but to no avail. The phone (Motorola Droid Turbo) has been powered down and back up, but the app still freezes. The app's cache has been emptied also, but the problem still exists.
 
Welcome to Android Central! Was the app working before, and this problem just started? Did you install the app from the Play Store, or from somewhere else?
 
I am the individual that originally asked the question on theCHIVE app. I have downloaded the app only from Google Play each time and have used it successfully on two different Motorola Droid phones for two years, including the current Droid Turbo since this past April. It has worked OK without problems until yesterday. theCHIVE app is the only app that is now problematic.

This can also be found by going to the app page and going to the bottom of the page under developer. Give them feed back, more people that does, normally the faster they work on a patch to fix the issue.
 
After multiple uninstalls and installs from Google Play, theChive app all of a sudden begin to work without explanation. Thank you to those that attempted to solve my dilemma.
