Is my phone Bricked? Help

[AC Question]

So I tried to factory reset my phone and I forgot to unroot it before and now its stuck on the boot screen. The phone is an Alcatel One Touch Fierce Xl

Do you have a copy of the original img of the phone before you rooted it?

Well the reason I ask about the original image of the OS is usually when you root your phone, most instructions state to make a backup (commonly referred to as a Nandroid backup) in TWRP or CWM (recoveries) so that the original image can be flashed if something goes wrong. I can take a look later and try to find an Alcatel forum to try and help, not home atm.

By the way, what site did you get the instructions to root your phone from? They may have instructions on how to unroot as well.

Well it was King Root and it was an app and within the app it offered to unroot the phone. Altought I wasn't trying to install a custom ROM I just tried to Factory reset the phone

Check the last post in that thread on page three for some step by step instructions. Hopefully that'll get you where you need to be .
