Why does my note 4 charge so slow

My newest phone broke, so I switched to my old phone. This old phone however, takes forever to charge. The fast charging will not kick in, and in the settings it says "Charging (USB)" under battery. My computer won't recognize it, and I know for a fact the problem isn't the chord or the adapter because I have tried several others of both. I also replaced the charging port and it didn't make a difference. I don't even get a notification that there is an adaptive fast charger connected no matter the battery level, and of course I have tried selecting and deselecting the fast charging option in the settings. I'm running out of ideas and really would like a phone that charged in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm having the exact same problem with my Note 4, it takes hours to charge to 100% and discharges fast as well.

Getting a new battery seemed to help a little bit for me, but I'm not sure if it would improve things for your situation.
